Before you commit
No minimum order, no obligation, and no waiting on a trading company to relay questions. Send the drawing and the engineering answers come back from the factory that will build it.
One piece or ten thousand. A single prototype and a repeat-production order follow the same DFM review and inspection route.
Drawing, material, quantity and delivery target are enough to start. You get a real engineering reply, not an auto-acknowledgement.
Priced for your approved scope, with manufacturing lead time and freight shown separately so nothing is hidden in the total.
Tolerance, bend relief, hole-to-edge, hardware access and finish masking are reviewed on your drawing — with the cost impact of each change stated.
Critical dimensions and acceptance criteria are fixed before production. Dimensional reports, material certificates and first-article records on request.
Certified to GB/T 19001-2016 / ISO 9001:2015. Fabrication, finishing and assembly controlled under one revision.
Typical reply within 4 business hours, Monday to Friday, 8AM–6PM CST.

Complete fabrication scope
Use this page for custom sheet metal parts, sheet metal enclosures, and fabricated metal cabinets that need several operations managed as one controlled build.
| Capability | Fabex scope | Engineering checkpoint |
|---|---|---|
| Materials and process limits | Most work uses 0.6-5 mm material; bending commonly 0.6-3.5 mm; laser cutting below 20 mm; welded plate can exceed 10 mm | Material grade, thickness, geometry, joint or edge requirements, finish, and required result are reviewed together. |
| Part envelope and logistics | One standalone part can be reviewed up to 5 m long x 3 m wide x 3 m high; multi-part assemblies can be longer when split for shipment | Most shipping pieces should target approximately 2.3 m or less in the relevant dimension. Consider standard 2440 x 1220 mm sheet stock, nesting, packed dimensions, container and truck clearances, lifting, route, and freight before release. |
| Tolerance plan | Indicative review ranges: suitable CNC-machined features +/-0.05 to +/-0.10 mm; laser-cut features +/-0.2 to +/-0.5 mm; fabricated assembly interfaces often +/-0.5 to +/-1.0 mm | These are not blanket guarantees. Process, material, thickness, feature and part size, datums, setup, bends, welding, coating, functional fit, and inspection method govern the released tolerance. |
| Integrated operations | Cutting, punching, bending, welding, hardware, finishing, assembly, and CNC machining review up to approximately 200 mm | The machining value is not sheet-metal thickness; the route and accepted limits depend on geometry, material, quantity, workholding, and required result. |
| Order quantity and lead time | No minimum order - from 1 piece; manufacturing lead time is stated in the quotation for the approved scope | No minimum order value applies, so a single prototype and a repeat-production order follow the same DFM and inspection route. The batch plan is scaled to your workload and delivery cadence, and lead time is quoted for the approved scope separately from transit time. |
Send your drawing, material, quantity, and delivery target. Our team will review the process route, manufacturability risks, and open questions before quotation.
Prototype-to-production control
Each handoff keeps the drawing, process plan, inspection points, and approved finish aligned.
Check flat patterns, bend reliefs, hole-to-edge distances, hardware access, weld callouts, and finish masking.
Checkpoint
Open questions and proposed drawing changes documented before release.
Select the cutting, forming, joining, and finishing route around geometry and quantity.
Checkpoint
First-article scope and inspection method agreed.
Build to the released revision with in-process checks at operations that can shift critical features.
Checkpoint
Nonconforming features are contained before downstream value is added.
Record the agreed dimensions and finish checks, then retain the approved route for repeat orders.
Checkpoint
Production package tied to the customer revision.
How we plan your project

Application
Power distribution boxes, retail displays, electronics enclosures, outdoor boxes, shelves, and baseplates
Material
SPCC, SGCC, SECC, aluminum 5052, SUS304, and other drawing-specified grades
Quantity
No minimum order - from 1 piece. Batch plan scaled to your workload, annual demand, and delivery cadence
Lead time
Quoted for the approved manufacturing scope; freight transit is stated separately
Manufacturing optimization starts with helping customers understand design limits, tolerances, and the best production route.
Review the drawing, simplify avoidable setups, define critical dimensions, approve a first article, and lock the released process route.
Documented DFM findings, a proposed manufacturing route, quotation, and lead-time plan for your approval.
Sourcing questions
Answers focused on buying a complete fabricated part rather than an individual process.
There is no minimum order value - one piece or one thousand. Send a 3D model when available, a dimensioned drawing, material and finish requirements, quantities, critical tolerances, and the required delivery location. Fabex can flag missing manufacturing details during DFM review.
Yes. The route can combine those operations under one revision and inspection plan. The quote identifies any outsourced or separately controlled operation before order release.
The released drawing revision should be recorded with the process plan and first-article approval. A changed revision is reviewed for tooling, program, inspection, and price impact before production resumes.
Yes - send your drawings under NDA. Files are used only to review and manufacture your order. We do not publish a customer name, product, drawing, or project detail without written permission, so ask for an NDA before you share anything sensitive and we will return a signed copy.
Freight is quoted separately under a named Incoterm and destination. FOB or CIF applies to sea and inland-waterway shipments; air, courier, and multimodal shipments use FCA, CPT, CIP, or DAP as agreed. Manufacturing lead time and estimated transit time are stated separately, and duties, taxes, customs charges, insurance, and destination services are included only when the quotation says so.
Start with function, fit, safety, part size, and how each feature will be measured, then assign tolerances by manufacturing process. As initial review ranges, suitable CNC-machined features may achieve +/-0.05 to +/-0.10 mm, laser-cut features commonly use about +/-0.2 to +/-0.5 mm, and fabricated assembly interfaces often use about +/-0.5 to +/-1.0 mm. Reserve tighter limits for critical datums and interfaces; blanket precision can require extra setups, machining, fixtures, inspection, rework, cost, and lead time, and may be impossible for the selected route.
Engineering before production
A useful fabrication quote begins with the manufacturing route, critical interfaces and realistic tolerances, not only a CAD model.
View the complete sheet metal DFM guideApply tight tolerances only to datums, mating features and functions that need them. Process and size govern what is practical; unnecessary precision adds setups, inspection, cost and lead time.
Standardize bend radii, hole sizes, hardware and material thickness wherever the design permits.
Check cutting, bending, welding, finishing, inspection and assembly access before releasing the drawing.
We make offshore manufacturing transparent. Here's what every client gets:
Your dedicated PM handles all communication in English. No language barrier, no misunderstandings.
Email, WhatsApp, or WeChat — we respond within 4 business hours. Timezone gap managed.
See your parts in production. We send photos and progress updates every week.
Customer Perspective
B2B customers often give brief, practical feedback and show their trust through the next project.

Full production programs, repeat orders, and multi-year supply — not one-off samples. References available for your sector on request.
In contract manufacturing, the clearest reward is often another drawing, another production order, or a larger scope.
We do not publish a customer's name, product, drawing or project details without written permission. That is not a lack of proof - it is how contract manufacturing works, and it is the same discretion we apply to your designs.
